Career in Architecture

Architecture entrance exam is called as NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture). Students passing NATA are eligible for admission into Architecture colleges in most of the Universities provided they fulfill other qualification criteria. Students should pass 12th exam along with NATA exam to seek admission for B.Arch program. Many of our students have passed out NATA 2016 exam with flying colours. The cut-off score of colleges vary every year based on the exam complexity and competition. Even though NATA passing score is 80 out of 200 (40%), cutoff of reputed colleges like J.J. Arts, Rachana Sansad, BKPS (Abhinav College, Pune) is higher than other colleges and need more preparation. This exam conducted in online mode across India. Other qualifying exam for Architecture colleges is JEE (Paper2) which is conducted by CBSE. This exam is important to take admission into NITs, SPA, Amity College etc. There are more exams like JEEs Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT), CEPT etc. conducted by some selected colleges. During this test students are tested on various parameters like Aesthetic Sensitivity & Drawing skills.
Career in Designing
In this world of competition Designing carries an utmost importance. Designing fertility provides various career options in Designing like Graphics designing, Animation, Interior Designing, Product Designing, UI/UX designing, fashion designing etc. This stream requires good design sense to achieve proficiency in this field. There many reputed design schools in India like NID (Ahmedabad), NIFT, IDC (Mumbai), Pearl, Srishti, SOFT, MITID, SID etc. Every college conduct separate exam for entrance to be eligible for admission. These colleges offer programs like B.Des., M.Des. Graduate Diploma in Designing etc.
Students from 10+2 / 12th/ HSC or equivalent are eligible for Under Graduate program in designing, while master program in design requires Engineering, BFA, G.D.Arts or graduate with min. 4 yrs. of education. Every company like Apple, Infosys, Volkswagen, Samsung, Persistent provide good job opportunity for Designers. Many candidates recruited from top design schools are offered high salary package between 6Lacs to 15Lacs. Entrance exam is mostly conducted in 3 stages. First level consist of Design Aptitude Test (DAT), Level 2 is mostly Studio Test/ Portfolio test & Level 3 is Group Discussion & Personal interview. Incepto prepares candidates on all three levels.
